Chemical protective clothing is an essential piece of equipment for firefighters and emergency responders working in environments where hazardous chemicals, corrosive substances, and other dangerous materials are present. This specialized gear is designed to provide a critical barrier between the wearer and harmful substances, ensuring their safety during rescue operations or industrial accidents. The fire protection suits meet the requirements of the GA88-94 standard, with added chemical-resistant layers that also offer heat insulation properties.
Manufactured using flame-retardant silk fabric, the outer layer is coated with a double-layer of flame and chemical-resistant adhesive, ensuring durability and safety. The material is specially designed to carbonize rather than melt when exposed to high temperatures, maintaining structural integrity even under extreme conditions. The garments are constructed using a fitting-sewing-striping technique, while the footwear includes fire-resistant, chemical-proof, voltage-resistant, and puncture-resistant features, forming a complete protective system.
Key Technical Specifications:
- Heat Resistance: Can withstand thermal radiation of 300°C for over 1 hour, 500°C for more than 30 minutes, and can briefly endure up to 700°C when close to a fire source. It is suitable for use in areas with radiant heat flux from flames (around 900–1000°C) at a distance of at least 5 meters.
- Reflectivity: Reflects over 90% of radiation, reducing heat absorption.
- Tear Strength: Minimum of 32N.
- Breaking Strength: Minimum of 450N.
- Folding Performance: After 8,000 folds, the surface remains intact without cracking.
Maintenance Guidelines:
- After use, gently brush the surface with a soft brush dipped in a neutral detergent solution to remove dirt. Rinse thoroughly with water, avoiding soaking or vigorous scrubbing. Hang the garment in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally.
- Store the protective clothing in a dry, ventilated space to prevent mold, mildew, and damage caused by moisture.
Important Safety Notes:
- While the chemical protective clothing offers excellent flame resistance and heat insulation, it is not a guarantee of full protection in all situations. Avoid direct contact with flames or molten metal when working near fire zones.
- Before each use, inspect the garment for any signs of damage, tears, or separation. If any issues are found, do not use it in a fire environment.
- Ensure that all parts of the suit are properly fastened and sealed before entering a hazardous site. Full coverage is essential to maintain the effectiveness of the protective gear.
