CZ chemical process pump structure

The CZ horizontal chemical process pump is an upgraded version of the traditional CZ pump, designed in accordance with the eighth edition of the American Petroleum Institute (API) 610 standard. This design aims to improve device performance and ease of maintenance. The pump features a horizontal suspended structure, radial section, and a single-suction, single-stage configuration. It allows for maintenance without moving the motor or disconnecting the pipeline, thanks to its extended coupling system. This pump is suitable for handling liquids that are slightly corrosive and can operate at various temperatures. One of the key features of the CZ pump is its compliance with high technical standards. It has been upgraded according to API 610 Edition 8, which sets higher requirements than the previous sixth edition and national standards such as GB 3215-83 and GB 5656-1994. The pump components, including the pump body, impeller, cover, and seal ring, are manufactured using precision silicone mold casting, ensuring accurate flow channel dimensions and structural stability. After casting, a pickling process removes surface residues while preserving the metal's original properties, enhancing overall performance. The pump also includes a double volute casing design for larger diameter pumps (above 80mm), which helps reduce radial pressure and improve efficiency. A water-cooled chamber on the pump cover minimizes the impact of high-temperature media on mechanical seals and bearings. The mechanical seal options include single-ended, double-ended, or metal bellows configurations, offering reliable sealing performance. A back impeller with balancing holes helps manage axial forces and reduces pressure in the seal chamber, improving the working conditions of the shaft seal. The pump uses heavy-duty bearings with oil lubrication, providing strong load capacity and a long service life exceeding 25,000 hours. Flexible pin or diaphragm couplings (with elongated designs available for diaphragm types) ensure efficient power transmission and high carrying capacity. All shafts are sealed with O-rings before and after the bushings, preventing direct contact with the medium and extending the shaft’s lifespan. The pump is capable of operating at pressures up to 2.5 MPa, which is higher than the 1.6 MPa of standard IH pumps. In terms of operating conditions, the pump can handle flow rates from 13 to 2000 m³/h, head ranging from 14 to 160 meters, and temperatures between -80°C and +140°C (standard type) or up to +300°C with a cooling chamber. It is available in sizes from 32 to 300 mm, operates in ambient temperatures up to +40°C, and is suitable for systems with a maximum working pressure of 2.5 MPa.
