Dijet opens a new diamond beam drill bit

The new diamond beam drill developed by Dijet is to machine a spiral groove on the carbide blank, fill the groove with diamond powder, and then sinter it into a whole under high temperature and high pressure. The advantages of the beam drill are as follows:
1 There is no welding defect: in the conventional diamond drill bit, since the diamond piece is welded, the welded part often has a gap due to repeated friction of the chip, which is liable to cause chip clogging or chip biting, which affects tool life and surface roughness. The beam drill bit is used to sinter diamond and cemented carbide into a whole. There is no defect caused by welding, and the rigidity is greatly improved. 
2 Long service life and high machining accuracy: The beam cutting edge is made of diamond. Compared with carbide drills and diamond coated drills, the tool life is greatly extended. The diamond has excellent adhesion resistance, and therefore, a stable machined surface and dimensional accuracy of the hole can be obtained. 
3 can produce small diameter tool products: diamond and cemented carbide are sintered into one whole, can make drill bits of 0.4mm or more, and can avoid many defects of diamond welding drill bit. 
4 With a large helix angle: The beam drill has a 30° helix angle on the outer circumference of the diamond part, so the cutting sharpness is good. Compared to diamond-welded drill bits, it has a large helix angle to prevent chipping or edges at the exit of the hole. 
5 can be used for hole processing of difficult-to-machine materials: carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), metal matrix composite (MMC), graphite, boron, hard alloy, engineering ceramics, etc., due to special properties, machining with carbide drills, tools The life of the beam is extremely short. Because the cutting edge is made of diamond and has a large helix angle, the cutting resistance is small, and the above materials can be stably machined, and the tool life can be greatly extended. 
6 Re-grinding: After the beam cutting edge is normally worn, it can be reground. Usually, the flank is re-grinded. If necessary, the rake face can be reground.
