High density polyethylene (HDPE) has excellent chemical stability, aging resistance and environmental stress crack resistance. The HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe produced from the raw material is a flexible pipe. Its performance is as follows:
(1) Strong resistance to external pressure: the outer wall has an annular corrugated structure, which greatly enhances the ring stiffness of the pipe, thereby enhancing the resistance of the pipe to soil load. (2) Low engineering cost: Under the condition of equal load, HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe only needs thinner pipe wall to meet the requirements. (3) Convenient construction: Because HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe is light in weight, it is convenient to carry and connect, so the construction is quick and the maintenance work is simple. The advantages are even more obvious when the construction period is tight and the construction conditions are poor. The friction coefficient is small and the flow rate is large: HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe made of HDPE can pass more flow than other pipes of phase diameter. In other words, HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes with relatively small caliber can be used under the same flow requirements. Good low temperature resistance, impact resistance: HDPE double wall corrugated tube has an embrittlement temperature of -70 °C. Under normal low temperature conditions (above -30 °C), special protection measures are not required, and construction in winter is convenient. Moreover, HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes have good impact resistance.
(4) Good chemical stability: Since the HDPE molecule has no polarity, the chemical stability is excellent. With the exception of a few strong oxidants, most chemical media do not destructively. The soil, electricity, acid and alkali factors of the general use environment will not destroy the pipeline, no bacteria, no scaling, and the circulation area will not decrease with the increase of running time. Long service life: HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe can be used for more than 50 years without being exposed to sunlight and ultraviolet light. Excellent wear resistance: Germany has used tests to prove that the wear resistance of HDPE is even several times higher than that of steel pipes. Appropriate deflection: A certain length of HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe can be slightly deflected in the axial direction, and is not affected by a certain degree of uneven settlement on the ground. It can be directly placed in a slightly non-straight groove without using a pipe fitting.
