This kind of small-scale enterprises have long been banned by the state. However, knowing that these plastic granule processing plants can be successfully produced in Zhangzhuang Village, Pingxiang County, without knowing that they exist.
“The plastic pellet processing factory is located in Zhangzhuang Village and has been producing. The sewage is discharged directly to the wheat field and waste puddle behind the factory without any treatment. The black smoke from the high-temperature processing plastic is straight, and the pungent smell is unbearable. A villager in Zhangzhuang Village said that the plastic pellet factory is produced all the year round. The sewage is discharged into the puddle and wheat field from the small ditch at the rear of the plant. A layer of plastic pollutants floats on the sewage pit. The reporter learned that direct sewage and black smoke contain hydrogen chloride, methyl methacrylate, styrene, toluene or aromatic oxides. Long-term inhalation of exhaust gas may affect human respiratory and nervous systems.
These plastic pellet processing plants do not have pollution control facilities. According to the provisions of Article 17 of China's Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law, construction projects must have water pollution prevention and control facilities, which can only be put into production after being checked and accepted by the environmental protection department. Obviously, the plastic pellet processing plants we have seen do not meet the requirements of national laws. It is hoped that the local environmental protection bureau can strictly enforce the law, do its due diligence, and protect the environment in which the people depend. Instead of turning a blind eye to seeing, seeing, and not being strict, there is no name.
