Yuchai launches China's first Euro IV diesel engine

On February 26th, Guangxi Yuchai Group, the largest diesel engine manufacturer in China, launched the first Euro IV diesel engine YC6L-40 with independent intellectual property rights.

This is under the general trend of pushing low-emission and energy-saving cars and advocating the development of circular economy in China. The Beijing National III standard (equivalent to Euro III) has been issued for less than three months, and most domestic diesel engine companies are still preparing for Euro III products. At the time of listing, Yuchai once again ran to the forefront of the independent innovation technology of the national internal combustion engine. The launch of this new product will become a substitute for the import of Euro IV diesel engines from domestic OEMs, and is considered by the industry to be another breakthrough in the independent innovation of the Chinese automotive industry. YC6L-40 has broken through the technical bottleneck that has been plagued by the internal combustion engine industry for reducing emissions and saving fuel and energy. The injection technology and the Post-discharge treatment technology not only meet the Euro IV standard, but also greatly reduce the pollution. It is also more fuel-efficient than the Euro III product. It has the advantages of high power, low emission, low noise and high reliability. It is suitable for passenger cars and buses. Power demand. This is the result of Yuchai's cooperation with foreign institutions and its independent intellectual property rights.




The Euro IV diesel engine produced by Yuchai has been in commercial production conditions, attracting multiple customers for matching verification. Beijing Public Transport Company has decided to order Euro IV diesel engines to open a bus line to meet the requirements of the Green Olympics.




At present, Yuchai diesel engine has realized nine independent series of European “China Green” series, which are up to standard Euro III, 6A and 6L horizontal machines and 4W small-size car engines. Since Yuchai launched the Euro III machine the previous year, it has sold 600 units last year and will break through 6000-8000 units this year. Euro IV machines will also be sold in large quantities in two or three years.




The engine field is one of the strategic highlands for China to participate in international industrial competition. At present, the hard indicators such as exhaust emissions of most domestic engines are far behind the international standards, and the formulation and implementation of China's urban vehicle exhaust emission standards are far behind European and American countries.




The "China Automotive Industry Development Policy" promulgated on June 1, 2004 proposed to focus on the development of car diesel engine technology. The national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" clearly defines the development direction of the energy-saving and environmentally-friendly automobile industry. The domestic diesel engine market of Europe III or above has been monopolized by foreign manufacturers.




Yu Ping, chairman of Yuchai, said that with rising oil prices and increasingly prominent environmental issues, energy conservation and environmental protection have become global economic consensus. With the approach of the 2008 Beijing Green Olympics, our government and society are paying more attention to and paying attention to green development. In 2006, Yuchai took the lead in introducing the YC6L series engines with domestically produced Euro IV standards to the market, and will actively explore the “green power” market in various aspects.
