However, PE plastic pipe industry also has a clear "pathological." First, the production capacity is obviously excessive. As a result, the number of domestic pipeline enterprises has reached more than 3,000, and most of them are small- and medium-sized, with a total capacity of 20 million tons. The second is the chaos in the pipeline market, and some companies are pursuing profits. Using low-cost strategies, using PE63 or even recycled materials as raw materials, adopting the "***" backward process to produce low-grade products; Third, the market share of high-quality products is low, and genuine pipeline products produced with mixed ingredients are few, and there are also The gas industry is reluctant to purchase gas pipes produced from domestically produced mixed ingredients, and the phenomenon of purchasing imported products at a higher price has resulted in the production capacity of the PE100 mixed batch production line of the Sinopec system being vented.

According to the analysis of Shao Junwei, the general secretary of the Shanghai Chemical Building Materials Association, the main reason for the uneven quality of pipelines on the market is that many companies do not implement the national standard compounding process, and adopt the “***” route, that is, adding white materials to PE. Low-cost carbon black masterbatch is directly processed into pipes. This process often results in uneven distribution of carbon black particles and insufficient carbon black content, which may reduce the strength of the pipeline. The pressure resistance, stress cracking performance, and hygienic safety of the steel pipe all have serious hidden troubles, which can not reach the service life of 50 years. . He believes that companies should consciously become a model of industry self-discipline and innovation and development. At present, PE raw material enterprises such as Sinopec and PetroChina, as well as the leading enterprises in the plastic pipe industry, are fully capable of producing PE pressure pipes at an international level. The company plans to set up a “PE Gas Pipeline Quality Assurance Alliance” with a reasonable threshold under the support of the China City Gas Association and gas company users.
